How to Sleep on enVy Pillow?
TWO-STAGE NECK SUPPORT
Both levels of neck support enable sleeping on back and on a side. Most people choose largest neck support from the first night, however it is advised to start from smaller support for gradual progression to the largest support as the enVy® pillow slowly corrects neck alignment. In particular, it is essential for customers who have never used therapeutic shaped pillows in the past.
enVy® pillow for back and side sleepers
BACK SLEEPING
When sleeping on your back, place your head right in the V-spot centre (the “sweet spot”) of enVy® allowing the pillow to fit to your head and neck. You will feel the support and subtle traction on your neck and the weightless cradling of your head. The cradling prevents rotation as is often needed in patients recovering from injury or strain. Many clients report significant reduction in tossing and turning.
SIDE SLEEPING
When turning to your side, stay in the centre of the pillow. enVy® tilts the side sleeping client’s head away from the pillow relieving undue pressure on the jaw and cheek area. In this position you will find your head and neck are well supported with a subtle off-your-face positioning (this minimizes face-to-pillow contact which is ideal for TMJ sufferers or to simply minimize sleep lines). This is allowed by the raised edges of the V-shaped pillow with ergonomically contoured sides. enVy® pillow provides maximum support for the neck and shoulders, alleviating pain in the neck, headache and pain resulting from poor pose during sleep.
enVy® pillow also facilitates less pressure on the bottom shoulder of the side sleeper and has been recommended by Chiropractors to clients with shoulder injuries, chronic pain and the numbness/pins and needles that sleepers often experience while side sleeping. *Shoulder problems are also often caused by referred pain from the neck. Therefore, stabilizing the neck during sleep is of paramount importance.
